A WAENHUIS WELCOME TO STORY TELLER, DAVID MULLER

I’m told that us wise humans (homo sapiens) deserve better to be known as the species homo narrans – that is, story-telling humans.

And now, to fit this version of ourselves, here comes a distinguished example to this very grassy karoo waenhuis and Umsobomvu municipal area of the nuwe hantam ward, a one man band story teller entertainer, David Muller: in early November, fresh from the Groot Marico Bushveld and the Kwa-Zulu Natal midlands..

David Muller’s visit adds to what is described as ’the primacy of story-telling over, for example, language and reasoning, in differentiating Homo Sapiens from other species of the genus Homo'.

(Just like, say, the tales of the great Herman Charles Bosman, and, rather like, say, the stories of ourselves and neighbours in this and other local rural and beyond areas of the world?).

David Muller is due to be sharing our food and accommodation around the waenhuis vistas at Hanglip farm in the Umsobomvu municipality.

His first one-man drama performance at this farm venue is at 4pm on Wednesday November 5, the drama BLOOD & SILVER.

His 2nd performance is BUSHVELD BOO!! The one-man show of Oom Schalk’s HC Bosman stories, at the neighbouring Grootfontein farm Hantam Community Education Trust (HCET) school hall at `12 noon the next day Thursday November 5.
